Endometriosis is a disorder of endometrial tissue, this tissue forms a lining inside the uterus. When this lining grows outside the uterus, endometriosis disorder occurs.
Cause of Endometriosis:
The exact cause of endometriosis disorder has not yet been identified. It may be related to genetics, but still it is very tough to articulate the actual cause of it.
There is an urgent need to understand and be aware of this emerging disorder among women, as it not only affects the pelvic region, but also grow in the areas like lungs and brain.
When endometriosis tissue is inside the uterus, it normally gets thick and shed every month during menstruation; but due to endometriosis disorder the tissue get blocked and there is no exit, this tissue further grows up on the fallopian tubes, urinary bladder, intestines and some other areas too.
The worst thing about it is that, you can’t cure it completely as the symptoms are too vague. In the initial days, most of the women get confused and unable to figure out whether it is a normal menstrual problem, or something critical.
It is not necessary that endometriosis always cause unbearable pain during menstruation and this is one of the reasons that it is not diagnosed.
Need of General Awareness:
Working women faces a very difficult situation as few people know about endometriosis. They generally take it as a normal menstrual problem overlooking its severity.
There are many instances where employer doesn’t understand the actual cause behind taking leave because of periods only. Mostly women feel shy and do not want to discuss about below belt health problems until this problem interferes with their life.
It is very important to evolve general understanding among people that endometriosis is not just a normal period, but something more serious involving way worse consequences. As it causes
